FTC Disclosure: Thank you to Savvy Curls for sending me this curling band to feature on my blog. All opinions are my own, and I am not being compensated for a positive review.
Who doesn’t love the sound of no heat curls?! Anything to prevent putting heat to my ends sounds wonderful. Imagine waking up in the morning with ready-to-go curls, think about how much extra sleep you can be getting! The Savvy Curls band makes it all possible and only takes a few minutes of your time. Now, I like my curls pretty loose to make them look natural and have more of a beach wave to it. So I didn’t wrap my hair as tight around the band as most people do, so my curls are obviously not too tight. This is just my preference though, however, you can get tight spirals with the Savvy Curls band by twisting your hair and pulling it tighter around the band. Also, when I use a curling iron, I tend not to curl the ends for and even natural look, so I did the same method with the Savvy band and let my ends hang loose instead of wrapping them around and securing with a bobby pin.
Savvy Curls hair wraps are so comfortable to wear and are made of thermal insulating and curl forming materials that are heat retentive. When hair is wrapped around the band, it works in conjunction with the heat zone of your scalp to produce bouncy, luscious curls. I think this band would be perfect for kids who are old enough to curl their hair but too young to handle heat.
Warning: Do not use this headband on infants or toddlers for use may result in strangulation, suffocation, death or other serious injury. Small children must only use under the direct supervision of an adult.
The Savvy Curls band is so easy to use! You can use it on wet or dry hair. If your hair is dry, just apply mouse right before you wrap your hair.
1 & 2. Place wrap on your head like a halo.
3. Starting on a front side of the head, take an inch or so section of hair and wrap it around the band pulling hair down through the interior of the band.
4. Grab the same section of hair and add another section of hair to it and repeat the same process.
5.Continue this process until the center back of head is reaching leaving a small tail or end of hair unwrapped.
6. Repeat theses steps on the other side of the head until both ends of hair meet in the back.
(If you desire tighter curls, take the remaining ends of hair and combine together, and wrap ends of hair around the band and secure with a bobby pin.)
7. Wear wrap overnnight, or until hair is completely dry and then remove by unwrapping from the back ends to front.
8. Enjoy your beautiful, no heat Savvy Curls!
