Oh, how I love wearing a comfy romper or jumpsuit! This long sleeve, zipped pocket romper from Macy’s is perfect for in between seasons! Some days are still very warm, while other days it is breezy and brisk outside, but Autumn is official here! It’s difficult to find a nice romper that is inexpensive, but I found this beautiful piece on sale for only $19! You can pair a romper with just about anything to modify for the weather or to dress it up or down. Rompers and jumpsuits are a great way to expand your wardrobe and get the most out of each piece for any season.
If you are curvy, avoid fabrics with large patterns and prints. Solid colors are the best choice, and pairing your romper with a pair of heels is another great way to lengthen the look of the legs and slim the frame. You can also add a chunky belt to camouflage the waist. Choose a romper that doesn’t fit too tight or too baggy.
If you are thin, loose and flowing rompers are best suited for a slimmer frame. Choose a romper with texture, ruffles, or larger prints to add depth to your look.
If you are petite, keep your hemline above the knee in order to elongate your body and choose a v-neckline.
If you are tall, a halter style romper is the best for your length. Avoid going too short with your rompers and stick with the rule of thumb by keeping your hemline no shorter than your fingertips. Adding a belt or finding a romper with a drawstring will help add structure.
Keep in mind, rompers come in all shapes, prints, styles, and sizes, and no matter your body shape, height, or age, any woman can find a piece that’s perfect for her body. It is also important to keep your accessories to a minimum with rompers, especially a pattern romper like the one I am wearing. In the end, it’s all about how confident you feel in your romper.
