Today, I am being brave with my personal style and mixing in some bohemian pieces. I love playing with different looks. You can sometimes find me in (p)leather, looking like a biker chick. Sometimes I’ll wear a vintage dress, which my husband likes to call ‘grandma’ dresses. Occasionally, you can find me in a pencil skirt with a formal top, looking like I stepped out of a business conference. And sometimes I’ll rock the sporty look with skinny jeans and tennis shoes. I look at it as playing dress up. This boho look is the first for me, and I have to say, I am LOVING it!
The best way to slowly add different styles to your wardrobe is by taking pieces at a time and pairing them with clothes that speak your style. For instance, these Jogger Pants were a little intimidating to me until I paired them with a shirt and hat that were simple enough that I could feel comfortable in. And to make the cold-shoulder dress a little more me, I added a belt. The key to feeling confident in your daring new pieces is to pair them with simple articles of clothing that you already feel comfortable in. It is so fun and challenging to find pieces that you won’t normally wear and finding a way to make them work for you.
