Accidently twinning with my blogger bestie, Kait, from Basking In Burgundy.
Yay, it is officially fall! Although, someone needs to tell mother nature, because it is still warmer than biscuits outside! My blogger bestie, Kait, from Basking In Burgundy and I, are welcoming fall with our favorite floral maxi dresses. My dress can be found at MakeMeChic for under $30! This dress has easily become a staple piece for my wardrobe.
Floral dresses can be worn throughout the entire year. They are the perfect pattern for transitions into fall. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to introduce spring into your fall/winter wardrobe, and so I have provided three simple tips to do it the right way…
1.) Choose darker colors. For a winter ready take, opt for deeper and neutral tones. And look for prints in slightly weightier fabrics to keep them looking appropriate for the season.
2.) Choose Long Sleeve. Either choose a long sleeve floral or simply layer your outfit. The easiest way to add layers by adding different textures into the mix. Such as a wool cardigan, a knitted scarf, some lace tights, or/and a leather jacket.
3.) Mind your legs. To avoid a confusing mixture, keep your legs covered for the cooler months. Opt for tights, socks, or a longer hemline. You never want to wear anything that makes you physically uncomfortable and staying warm is a something you want to keep priority.
